On February 26, 2026 , EI Brand Management Inc. in conjunction with Health Canada issued a recall for the Joovy® Tricycoo UL trikes.y
Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that these trikes do not meet the Carriages and Strollers Regulations when they are used as a stroller in Canada. Specifically, the storage bag drawstring forms a loop that does not meet the requirements set in the regulations SOR/2023-101 posing a risk of strangulation hazard. Additionally, certain locations related to the seat may a risk of pinching and/on shearing hazards.
In Canada, 109 units of the Joovy® Tricycoo UL trikes were sold nationwide by major and independent retailers between October 2021 and February 2026.
EI Brand Management Inc. has not received any reports of incidents related with the use of these trikes.
